About Me.Sketching freehand at an early age, it was evident right away that Franklyn R. Bonfante was destined to be an artist. The East Harlem native was given the nickname "Picasso" from his grade school peers and his first camera, a Kodak Pocket Instamatic, from his grandmother. In high school, he turned his attentions toward computers and digital art, ultimately deciding to go to college for Web Design & Interactive Media. After attending the Art Institute of Philadelphia, he returned to New York and began working on e-commerce websites, providing regular maintenance, creating content & advertisements and digitally retouching images. Through his college education and work, his love for photography had resurfaced from his youth and manifested in post production. It was then that the most important career altering moment happened.
Between jobs, he apprenticed for a professional photographer, whose focus was beauty, fashion, celebrities and advertising. It was that experience that built his confidence to invest in himself as a photographer. He formed a partnership with his colleague and established Chamber Images; a digital media company based on their collaborative works. Through this effort, he built a network of clients and began his journey to becoming the creative professional he has always dreamed of being. |
